GM Diet



General Motors developed the GM Diet to help its employees lose weight and feel healthier. GM diet works as the foods you eat will burn more calories than the amount of energy (calories) they provide for the body to store. This diet as helped people to lose around 3 Kgs to 7 Kgs per week.

GM Diet Plan
                GM diet plan includes lots of fruits, vegetable and some starch in it. In GM Diet it recommends you an array of foods for each day, but there is no restriction on how much you should eat that. To undergo GM diet plan it’s recommended not to smoke tobacco and drink alcohol during the period of 7 days, a week before and after that.  There are several reasons for this recommendation and the main reason is blocks the natural detoxifying process from taking place.
Apart from this you should drink at least 10 glasses (2.5 litres) of water every day. Water will be your main source of energy for the whole day. It will also boost your metabolism and remove the unwanted pounds from the body, naturally. If you have already tried this diet plan, it is better to take a break for 2 to 3 days before you resume the diet again. 

Day # 1 – Fruit day 
Eat all kind of fruits except bananas; you can eat as much fruit as you want. Watermelons are the most recommended fruit as it has rich source of water in it.

Day # 2 – Vegetable day
Eat all the raw or cooked vegetables you can consume. You can enjoy all your vegetables as a salad and herbs for flavouring.

Day # 3 – Fruits & Vegetable day
Eat a combination of fruits (except banana) and vegetables (except potatoes). Ensure you don’t add butter, oil and fruit juices.

Day# 4 – Special Soup, Banana & Dairy Day
Eat only bananas, Milk, butter milk and special GM diet soup. Ensure that you don’t eat more than 7 bananas and 3 glass of milk (Do not add sugar).


Day# 5 – Brown Rice and Tomatoes        
Eat 6 to 8 tomatoes with one cup of brown rice.  You can increase your water intake by 2 glasses today. Non-vegetarians can include a serving of fish or chicken. Eat 500gms of skinless chicken baked or lightly fried and don’t forget the six tomatoes.

Day# 6 – Brown Rice and vegetables
Eat Brown rice, sprouts, cottage cheese and other vegetables but by excluding tomatoes. No tomatoes on day 6, avoid them. 

Day#7 – Juicy day
Eat brown rice with any fruit juices (don’t add sugar). You can also eat fruits and vegetables   Don’t add oil to rice.
